I’ve been hearing from many of my friends who are fashion entrepreneurs that, for them, this has been a time of deep reflection.
Sales are down. Relationships with wholesalers have been ruptured. The frenetic pace has slowed, in some cases, almost to a halt.
Now is the time to take stock of where we are as a fashion industry, and where we want to go. Now is the time for small fashion brands to take a breath and figure out how they might fit into this changing landscape.
One of the ways I’ve felt most useful in this time is participating in live conversations geared toward Latin American designers and African and African-diaspora fashion professionals. When my words go out
